Although initially reported as an explosion, this morning’s incident at the IXL Propane, Inc. facililty was actually a “fire with potential for an explosion,” according to Molalla Fire Department spokesperson Denise Everhart.

An explosion at the IXL Propane, Inc., facility on Industrial Way this morning resulted in one patient being transported with burn injuries.

A 73-year-old tree topper died of an apparent heart attack while on the job at a remote forest location near Molalla yesterday.
