The man who was burned in this morning’s fire at the IXL Propane, Inc., facility was IXL owner Bob Cox. As of press time, he was in stable condition in the burn unit of Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Virginia Winter, the Molalla woman convicted last November on nine counts of animal neglect, was scheduled for a probation violation hearing today, after Clackasmas County Sheriff’s Office deputies found horses living on her property again in September.

An early-morning wind storm cut off power to thousands of Molalla-area homes this morning.
As of 9:30 a.m. about 3,000 Portland General Electric customers in and around Molalla were without electricity, including the Molalla Pioneer office, down from 4,000 earlier in the morning. By mid-afternoon, about 1,500 remained in the dark.
